Ofrenda Ofelia : Collaboration work for Armuseli

"Ofrenda Ofelia" Aquarelle, Ink Pen, Oil on water.
This is a new project commission for Itxaso, a friend whom we worked together in Madrid. Itxaso Torrontegui is a textile designer herself and a graphic artist, and has been producing beautiful textile patterns.
Her latest project , Armuseli, will launch original printed scarves by different textile artists, online.
The print had to be  inspired in Winter flowers, Frida Kahlo figure; among others. Personally, I love Frida Kahlo art, and I had been truly inspired by the winterish forests from Finland.  The foliage color changes during the finnish winter are amazing.
Actually, I did research a lot in the tradition in graphic printing and textile design in Finland. At the same time, the Baltic countries and Russia folk art provided the atmosphere.
